Buon Appetito, Bologna!
Our first full day in Bologna has ended, and it was everything I could’ve imagined and so much more. I’ve already taken dozens of pictures and found countless places to visit.
FICO Eataly World was an experience I’ve never had anywhere back home in the states. FICO Eataly World is the world’s largest food park and is located just east of Bologna. We began our day at FICO with a group pizza making class at Rossopomodora Pizzeria and what an experience that was. We began our step by step process from mixing dry ingredients, shaping our dough, and adding our toppings. During the process, our instructor told us step by step how long it actually takes them to make pizza - 16 hours! I’m a huge pizza lover, and this was by far my favorite thing of the day. Delizioso!
Next up, we’re off to explore! FICO offers everything from cheeses, wines, meats, pastas and more! Exploring FICO was incredible; I could’ve easily spent a whole day in there. One thing our group has been searching for is wine, and FICO offers a great wide selection for any wine lover. During our process of searching for wine, we met a wine expert, Michaela, who helped us tremendously and even gave us a wine tasting of the wines we selected before making a purchase. FICO was an excellent place to visit and I had such an amazing time. I would highly recommend FICO to anyone visiting Italy.
