You've Got Mail
You’ve Got Mail.
Let’s rewind back to the fall of 2018 when I got home after a long, dreary day. Flipping through the mail, I noticed a postcard addressed to me about a study abroad class for international business students and MBA students: Innovation and Entrepreneurship in a Global Environment. . . Hmm. . . Having enjoyed the Startup Pitching and Planning course as my first MBA elective, I began developing an interest in entrepreneurship. . . I also enjoy traveling. . . I also enjoy having fun. . . This year (2018) has not been fun for multiple reasons. . . I also need another elective credit for the MBA program. . . Done! It took me a grand total of a couple of minutes, to decide to apply for this class. This is going to be awesome!
“What am I looking forward to?” you might ask. Exploring the cities: Bologna, Verona, and Milan. In our visits to these “less popular” Italian cities, I’m really hoping to get a glimpse of some of the finer details of Italian culture not offered by the road more traveled by (which I’ll still definitely visit the next time around). Eating the food – no explanation needed there. Meeting the people – the best trips I’ve been on involved meeting locals. Learning the operations of small businesses that compose such a large slice (pun intended) of Italian culture. Rediscovering the history you learned about in middle school. And finally - amateurishly attempting to speak some Italian – 53 day Duo Lingo streak and counting!
